First Lutheran is very pleased to announce that we have been accepted as a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregation to begin partnering with ReconcilingWorks: Lutherans for Full Participation.

 

What does this mean?

We are proud to commit to RIC to celebrate a ministry of welcome, inclusion, and advocacy. It means that First welcomes and hopes for the full participation in all aspects of our faith community to support and work to ensure equity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual/aromantic (LGBTQIA+) and people of every race and ethnicity.

Becoming an RIC congregation recognizes the type of faith community First Lutheran already has been. All that has changed is strengthening our commitment to inclusiveness and open welcome.
